About me
I am the ESL Specialist at McAnally Middle School. I attended the University of Texas at Arlington and received a Bachelor's Degree in German with a Business minor. In addition, I hold a Master's Degree in Education with a focus on multicultural studies, curriculum, technology, and Administration.
I have a passion and understanding for students learning English. I was an ESL student born and raised in Germany until the 2nd grade, then returned to Germany in the 7th grade until I graduated high school.
I have been in education for over 20 years and have worked with ESL students throughout my career. I began my fantastic position here at Aledo ISD in 2021. The ability to give back to students and guide them in learning a new language while they embrace their home language and culture is a true passion of mine. Ensuring that our diverse EB population feels validated and welcomed is always at the forefront when working with our students.
